Most Popular Blog Posts of 2020

M

At the start of many years, as a kind of house keeping, I make two blog posts. I compile a list of the most read blog posts of the last year and I share the list of books that I read in the previous year. The chaos of recent events and the demands of my schedule during this time of pandemic have put me a little behind with both of these posts. So, today, I am sharing the most read blog posts and next week I will share my book list for 2020.

Most Read Blog Posts of All Time

  1. Forecasting Congregational Finances During a Time of Uncertainty
  2. “Letter to Demetrias” and “On the Possibility of Not Sinning”
  3. Minns Lecture Announcement
  4. Starting as the Senior Interim Minister, First Unitarian Universalist Church, Greater Houston, Texas
  5. Collective Memory (Tree of Life sermon)
  6. Some Thoughts on Ministerial Tenure
  7. The River May Not Be Turned Aside

It is notable that only two of my widely read blog pots for 2020 were sermons and that only three of the most popular ones of all time are sermons. I have noticed that the things that tend to do best are announcements about my professional life that are of broad interest and reflections on congregational life.
